Elgin Musical Theatre

News

For the first time ever we have entered a team in the Bell's Rotary Marafun on Sunday, 5 June 2011. Mike Duncan has organised it and the team consists of him, his wife Nikki, Lauren, Luke and Ruth Pirie, calling themselves The EMT Spotlights. It would be great if you could support them through sponsorship or just coming to cheer them on. The whole event is from 12 to 5 and there are lots of stalls and all kinds of entertainment in the centre of Elgin. We are one of the local groups who will benefit from the money raised when it is distributed later in the year.

Avril Anne James and the make-up team were awarded the Eleanor Hutton Award for their stunning work in our 2011 production of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast"

Jean Maciver died peacefully at 6 o'clock on Monday 28th February

The Group took part in a concert of Gilbert & Sullivan music on June 5th to raise funds for the Gordon Chapel in Fochabers which is undergoing substantial repairs. It took place in the beautifully refurbished Bellie Church in The Square in Fochabers.

Our 1/3 share of the profits was £500. We also had rehearsal expenses of £180 so received a cheque for £680. A big thankyou to all who took part. It was well worth doing.
